3.1 Rumors? IMPOSSIBLE to change baseband

wtf? Is this true? I accidentally updated my iphone to 3.1, I mean I didn't know it was out yet and I just click click when I was syncing my itunes.. anyways I just saw a video on youtube that said the dev team has been trying to crack it for weeks and their conclusion is just start making CUSTOM firmwares instead of changing the basebands because you obviously can not with the 3.1 update. So is this true that its IMPOSSIBLE? and that I can never use this iphone again? (unless I get at&t)

I have an iphone 3g with jailbroken 3.0.1 installed (T-mobile) and I have 5.11.07 modem firmware

quick question: my wifi will not work for the life of it.. is this related to the baseband?

Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE but it looks like the 5.11 BB isn't going to be done anytime soon so the Dev team are turning to a PT hybrid type JB.

If you have updated to the 5.11.07 modem then there is nothing you can do, you're basically stuck with only the option to jailbreak :(

Well mine is jailbroken but my wifi and tmobile reception is locked, So there is no hope for me at all? I tried installing ultrasnow but it obviously didnt work. Is there any hope at all?

there is always hope guys, just be patient. Just like when people thought 3Gs were impossible to unlock but dev team made everything possible, just be patient.

It is not going to happen any time soon. If ever.
