no-wifi (greyed) / adress N/A - new ways for solution
I have:
3G 8GB, 3.0.1, 04.26.08, bootloader 5.9
"no-wifi", no Wifi adress (N/A)
bluetooth mac but does not get on
irecovery says:
Type: 0x0007 Size: 0x0004 Purpose: Not Avaliable
Type: 0x0001 Size: 0x01f4 Purpose: WIFI Calibration Data (crc xxxxxxxx)
Type: 0x0002 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: WIFI Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0x0003 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: BT Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0x0005 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: Ethernet Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0xffff Size: 0xfffa Purpose: Not Avaliable
but
Type: 0x0004 Size: 0x0014 Purpose: Build Name - "XXXXXXXX" is missing!
means active table of NOR is corrupt.
Swifi, downgrade etc. is not working with actual firmware, modem firmware, boatloader
Possibe ways of fixing:
(1)
setting all missing params (setenv) manually, it should "overwrite" flash settings (I tried and set btadress to something else than readnvram displayed and it gets saved and shown under Iphone info) ->
Parameters:
wifiaddr = Wifi Mac
btaddr = Bluetooth Mac
??? = Build name (whats the name of the variable? Is build name individuall for iphones?)
Purpose: Not Avaliable: is this the N/A of Iphone Info Wifi Adress?
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL NVRAM SETTINGS OF FULLY WORKING IPHONE 3G? (irecovery -> radio readnvram)
(2)
Backup cal table should /could have non corrupted Baseband, how can I read it? norz does not work (killed)
(3)
Couldnt CommCenter read backup cal after booting?
I hope these thoughts can give any of your iphone cracks a hint of thinking of a solution for this problem.

ok i checked radio readnvram with a wifi-working not jailbreaked iphone:
it said also:
Type: 0x0001 Size: 0x01f4 Purpose: WIFI Calibration Data (crc xxxxxxxx)
Type: 0x0002 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: WIFI Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0x0003 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: BT Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0x0005 Size: 0x0006 Purpose: Ethernet Hardware Address (00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx)
Type: 0xffff Size: 0xfffa Purpose: Not Avaliable
means my nvram seems not to be corrupted.
Means I have a hardware failure? (I dont believe it)
Lets think of this:
Ive read many times that wifi problem also occured with bad battery life and wifi not finding any sources. Maybe new firmware changed something in powerbehaviour for increasing battery life but something went wrong and modem does not get enough power to work?
Somewhere i read a forum entry to change power settings somewhere in a config file on iphone...but i cant find it anymore. Any help from your side?
