Discuss Messed up my iPhone 2G pretty bad while upgrading to 3.0 at the iPhone OS 3.x - Hackint0sh.org; Jailbreak with blackra1n and restore custom firmware....
Jailbreak with blackra1n and restore custom firmware.
As I've already said, several times, I've already tried many different custom ispw's but the end result is always that I get an error while it is trying to up-/downgrade.

b9i9l9l9y and neutrel: Is blackra1n supposedly more unstable than winpwn and all the sn0w's?
Please confirm your eMail or contact staff!
Discard everything you have done and try to start over the whole process again by following the tutorial from iClarified:
iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.0.x Using RedSn0w (Windows)
You may to need to put the iPhone into DFU mode in order to restore the 3.0 firmware in itunes.
Had the exact same problem
I had the exact same problem.
remember to use iTunes 9.0.1
looks like it worked ... could make / receive calls
Redsn0w keeps crashing when the iphone screen says "downloading jailbreak data". This happened before as well, any thoughts on what the problem might be?

(I'm leaving the original message as it was in case any other person encounters the same problem)
