This 3.0 beta is very stable for me as a beta. I am surprise.
A lot better than 2.0 beta back then.
    My battery usage is normal.

i will do a fresh restore tomorrow then. battery literally dies 10% every hour or less. it's extremely frustrating!
but, stability is high and i love the new APIs

Had the same issue. Restoring to 3.0 and not restoring from a backup doesn't fix the problem (yes, edit). You think it fixes the problem (or at least, I did) because when I did the initial sync on the 'new' iPhone after the upgrade, my e-mail accounts were synchronized, but the passwords weren't transferred. I noticed about two or three days after I did the upgrade that the mail wasn't enabled, and immediately after putting the password in for my 5 IMAP accounts (yeah, yeah, I don't want to hear it), the battery life went straight in the toilet -- down to about 1 hour of usage and 6 hours of standby before turning itself off. I ended up downgrading to 2.2.1 because I couldn't handle it. Even setting 4 of the e-mail accounts to manual checking only and one of them to 30 minute fetch only made the battery life 1.5-2 hours of usage and 8-9 hours of standby -- nowhere near the battery life I was getting previously... (And nowhere near the battery life I'm getting now back on 2.2.1)

it's got to be an app not properly closing out - potentially mail.
it was definitely warm the entire time the battery was draining fast.

i did a complete restore and it's fine now. battery is still a bit worse off than before the upgrade, but it's fixed.

now, if group texts would work, i'd be a happy man

Only issue i have is that everytime i try to send a group text it turns the sms and tries to send them as MMS and as you know MMs isnt ativated yet so it gives me a error

But good thing for copy and paste so i can paste a message for each person =)

    Default Cannot compose mail

Well I have this problem of not being able to compose mail within the mail app. I can send something to mail using the note.app fine, type in the address and subject fields fine, but composing mail within the mail app is not possible!
