I'm just a bog standard user on 3g contract, can I use this 3.0 ipsw or is it going to brick my phone if I install it?

Well, I have updated both my 1.generation and my 2.generation 3G iPhone to firmware 3.0 and BOTH of them are 99% fully functional. The ONLY thing that doesn't work is the MMS-function.

Does syncing with iTunes work? I understand it won't work if you are not a enrolled iPhone developer.
