Jailbreak without Hacktivation
I am running Windows and I am trying to jailbreak my iPhone 2G without hacktivating it. How do I jailbreak my iPhone 2G without hacktivating it?
Apparently I found an old ATT SIM lying and I noticed everytime I restore my phone in iTunes with that SIM, it doesn't require me to activate the phone. Thus, I think I can extract a unique certificate by this method. http://www.hackint0sh.org/f127/96716.htm#post467555
So can someone please show me how to jailbreak my iPhone 2G without hacktivating it, so I can install OpenSSH.
If possible, can someone create a custom firmware using pwnage tool for my iPhone 2G "without the activation" checked???

If you can restore your iphone with the ATT sim card you found, despite the fact that it's inactive, and you can get to the springboard, without getting stuck on the "emergency call" screen, then just use Blackra1n.
Download blackra1n from http://blackra1n.com/
Connect your iPhone to your computer, but make sure you close iTunes.
Open blackra1n, and click on the MAKE IT RAIN button.
You'll see geohotz image show up on your phone, and that means its jailbreaking.
After it's done, you'll see a new icon on your springboard. That's blackra1n.
Open it, and install cydia BY ITSELF. Don't install cydia and icy at the same time.
After it finishes installing, open cydia, update if necessary, and look for OPEN SSH.
Install open ssh.
reboot your phone.
Now, your'e good to create the cert.
This will only work if the att sim card you're using is either activated, or inactive. BUT, if it's inactive, it will only work IF it was active with an iphone before. Even if it's an old att sim card, but it was never activated on an iPhone, then all you'll get is the EMERGENCY CALL screen. If you get this, forget about it. You won't be able to create the certs.

Well what I am tryiing to figure out first is this:
I bought a used iPhone 2g. The previous owner forgot to remove the SIM card. So I noticed that everytime I restore the phone in iTunes with his SIM card, iTunes doesn't require me activation and takes me straight to home screen and NOT the emergency screen. Does this mean a proper legit activation occurred and it created a valid working credentials which can be extracted?
