Hi!
I have an iPhone1,1 aka 2g and this model was not officially released in my country. I have it unlocked and hacktivated.
If I apply the Gm 3.0 how do I activate it again? If the baseband does not change, the unlock remains. Since it is confirmed than my only question is about the activation.
Thank you,
José.

It is true that the baseband for the 2G OS3 version is the same as the 2G OS2.x versions, i.e. 04.05.04 but what I need is an OS3 version which will leave my baseband alone and leave it as 04.04.05 from the 1.1.4 version.
Does anyone, or can anyone create an IPSW that will not change the baseband as technically the OS3 does update the baseband but as those with 2.x baseband have the same already they are fine but us out there that have 04.04.05 can't update. Unfortunately I don't have access to a MAC so can't create my own custom IPSW so if anyone could help out that would be great.

You can update in iTunes; the unlock will be gone; then use redsn0w and it will do an unlock on the new baseband (the one in use since 2.2 or thereabout).
