Yea and after 8 hours I finally get the only bright technician in all of Apple. I had to run a diagnostic check on the network and when it listed what the problem was, the obvious - non-secure connection to itunes store, he told me the more prevelant obvious.

My internet connection was too weak to catch the servers.

So i left and went to my girls house, used her computer and magically delicious i have 3.0 software. I am in love.

the only problem i had is that my backup was deleted. IDK why but it was.

if you are having difficulty of activating your iphone via itunes. if you are using a mac just go to application-utilities-keychain access-keychain aid. and fix it that should do fine.

i want to share it you guys because it same happened to me since this morning i ust figure it out after luch. just try its work for me.

You were able to activate from your gf's computer cause time had passed and apple's servers werent hammered like they did in the first couple of hours.

my gf lives in another apartment complex... i have Pavlov Media (force feed cheap college apartment service, get's paid through rent) working my internet and she has Comcast at 11:30 it kept telling me that the servers were timing out (8 hours long) and when I went to her house (11:32) I plugged it up and it finished immediately.

The apple guy told me that it could be the internet provider blocking it and thats what i thought it was because they have crappy service with my xbox live too.
