A little help would be much appreciated:

I had my iPhone dropped into water, dried it off and got it back working. The only glitch is that it started giving me that constant "this device is not made for iPhone.... etc" warning every couple of minutes.

Some freaking genius made available a patched ipad file to be replaced in the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/IAP.framework/Support folder SSHing in the iPhone, which made the problem go away.

Question: does this folder and file exist on firmware 3.0 and will I be able to use the patched file?

I would love to update, but not really unless I can't make this issue go away as easily on the new firmware.

Now that the jailbreak is out, could someone shed some light on this and see if this file exists on the new firmware?
