bluesky already confirmed that you need a dev account or be tied to one in order to install. must be some sort of activation needed. we'll have to wait til the 17th i guess

Just installed 3.0 GM (7A341) on my 2.gen iPhone 3G and I can't see any changes at all compared to beta 5..... nothing new at all - besides more responsive Settings-application.

I'm assuming it's minor bug fixes and speed improvements. No harm in upgrading.

also code seems cleaner. definitely better than beta 5

Is anyone elses MMS not working on the GM? I have a iPhone 3g on AT&T. My MMS was working fine on beta 5 with the updated carrier settings, but fails every time now
