After I updated to the Beta 2 iphone SDK the phone activated & the purple screen has now gone.

It will be interesting to see if any non developers have issues like this using beta firmware without the beta 2 SDK installed.

Maybe it will provide a relief from end users needlessly installing this new beta

Upgraded mine before new SDK downloaded and everything works well.

Youtube was working, but as I've restored the previous beta backup, now its not.

Much smoother, pinch/pan and zoom now working correctly.

Teathering on by default, but not MMS... previous carrier hack still works though!

can i safeley upgrade my unlocked 1st gen iphone from beta1 to beta2 ?
does the baseband gets upgraded or is it still the same?

so i am currently using 3.0 on my registered iphone.
however dont got any access to the devcenter.

any ideas where to get the beta 2?

For the last time, the baseband is NEVER going to be touched on the 1st Gen iPhone.
Apple no longer care about whether people have unlocked them, as they're not receiving any money from the 1st Gen iPhones.

A place that has something to do with a devil...

some small issue with 3.0 beta 2. When you attached to a external speaker system, like IceLink or Bose sound dock system and playing the music from ipod, the music will be from iphone speaker not from the external speaker system. I didn't have this issue when on 3.0 beta firmware. Do you guys have this issue? Or any solution or a bug will be fixed later on?
