alright it does work...i cant beleave it. i have never got mms to work on my 2g. but it does work. Thanks so much.
I did everything you said and im with at&t, so at first it just gave me the red error.
so i found these apn settings and tryed it, and it works.
APN : wap.cingular
Username: -Blank-
Password: -Blank-
Visual Voicemail:
APN : acds.voicemail
Username : -Blank-
Password: -Blank-
MMS:
APN : wap.cingular
Username: -Blank-
Password: -Blank-
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com <----- CORRECTION!!! NOT HTTPS... sorry.
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32:80
MMS Max Message Size : LEAVE AS DEFAULT
MMS UA Prof URL: LEAVE AS DEFAULT
Hope this helps....its working
i wouldnt waist your time installing the sinful 2g patch's, they never worked, but this does.
and also i found this to edit .plist "ipodrobot"

All you need is the correct mms apn info to your tmobile iphone 2G.. I have the same problem before but now i already fixed it.. Try this setting it might help you..

MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 614400

Then reboot your iphone and try to send sms.. Let me know if this aint work and I have a second more option for you to do..

settings not sticking
sending not working, gets to about 6/8ths of a sending bar

I've tried both the Cydia & manual methods to regain MMS on the iPhone 2G. The results are the same with both.
The only thing that would indicate it may have worked is if you go into the Messages app & try to write a message, for a brief second you will see the outline template for the camera button in the Messages app but thats unfortunately it. No MMS.
The Cydia method was "Native MMS for 2G" from the iFoneGuide repository

Very well then, how do I change APN settings? I poked around settings and I can't find anything inside Carrier or Messaging or Network.
Clues? Should I just update carrier file using itunes in carrier-test mode?
