my friend has an iphone 2G Not unlocked before
and updated to 3.1.2 with baseband 04.05.04_G.
I looked all over the forum and internet but I can't seem to find
and unlock for it! I can jailbreak it via blackra1n then what? how to hacktivate it?

if he can legitimately activate via iTunes then there is no need for hacktivation.

blackra1n will only hacktivate if the phone is not already activated legitimately. Blackra1n's hacktivation is barebones and some things require manual fixing afterwards.

I would still recommend an initial jailbreak with blackra1n and then use a pwnagetool custom ipsw to rejailbreak properly, hacktivate and automatically unlock via the integrated bootneuter

he cant legitimately activate it, he upgraded to 3Gs and what apple did was take his 2G de-activate it and gave it back! I know it is stupid, he own the phone but can't use it lol.
Anyways I m gona try a custom ipsw tonight and see how it goes.
