hi guys i got 2.1 custom firemware on my iphone installed it though i tunes i downloaded the iphone 2g 3.0 customfirmware off hackintosh can i install this software though i tunes i tryed on 9.0 if u can what version of itunes can it be installed on thanks

If you are already running custom firmware on OS 2.1 then you should simply be able to connect the iPhone and shift-click restore (option-click on mac) and select the new ipsw. Any version of iTunes higher than 8.2 should work.

hi i tryed that shife restore in itunes 9.0 and it says firmware not compacible its the 3.0 firmware off the hackintosh website thanks

Is it for your model iPhone? The ipsw should have 1,1 in the file name.

hi i tryed that putting 1,1 in the file name and yes its for my iphone model 2g
