Internet Tethering

So heres the thing, I've used the help.benm to generate a certificate and as such, tethering works fine

HOWEVER....

The MMS setting are overridden by the certificate. When I change them back, the tethering option disappears

Its almost like I need to certificate to specify the alternative settings

Data
APN - orangeinternet
Username - user
Password - pass

MMS
APN - orangemms
Username - Orange
Password - Multimedia

Can someone help?

I had same problems but now sorted with the following settings:

Cellular data:
APN Orangeinternet
Username leave blank
Password leave blank

Visual Voicemail
as above

MMS:
APN Orangeinternet
Username leave blank
Password leave blank
MMSC http://mms.orange.co.uk/
MMS Proxy 192.168.224.10:8080
leave rest blank!!

this all works for me on Orange contract UK

yea everything works a treat

you just need to do a hard reset after you type in the settings:

thpe in the settings press the home button release home button then press home and power buttons together for 10 seconds and all should be fine

i am new to this,
i am also on orange UK, and want MMS, i just got my iphone for the first time, i have iphone browser.
can you just give me a bit of a noob guide what to do?

just go to settings>general>network>cellular data network then add the settings listed below and reboot phone... ie the hard reset detailed below and all should work
