Getting contacts back on iphone
Hi
When i first got my iphone the best way to get my contacts on to it was to uploading to my gmail account and use itunes to copy them down.
With 3.0 i have had to setup a exchange account on the iphone and then sync the contacts so i have a mail account for just copying contacts etc. but if i remove this account it deletes all the contacts with it.
Is there a better way to get my contacts onto the phone without using the exhange sync.
Cheers
Curf

do you have any backups of your 2.2.1 that has your contacts in it? if you do, you can use iPhone Backup Extractor Reincubate: Labs: Backup Extractor for iPhone: extract and restore files from an iPhone backup on Windows, Linux and OS X to extract the needed address book .sqlite database files from the aspiuhycowrygtcuoaygnhuyrng kind of named backup files that itunes makes of stuff on your iphone, and, when you have the files, that should be theese three: AddressBook.sqlitedb (acsual contacts list with all the info in it), AddressBookImages.sqlitedb (you'll only have this file if you have photos attributed to your contacts.
Please clarify to me what you exactly want to do. Do you want to restore contacts ON your iphone, or do you want to extract them, back them up? try what I wrote above, see if that helps you.
