So, is the consensus(sp?) that the Dev Team will release a new version of the tools? I'm fine using the old quickpwn, but I got friends asking me what they should do.

The baseband with firmware 3.0.1 is still 04.26.08.
As always, current redsn0w jailbreak will not work with 3.0.1 firmware.
Please exercise caution and wait for new announcement for the jailbreak from Dev Team.
ps: There are few tricks to jailbreak 3.0.1 but I suggest you don't do it. Please be patience and wait for reds0w update (it won't be long :-) ).
Again, please play it safe and wait for official announcement
it works .. only that you need to direct readsn0w to 3.0 while jailbreaking..
I am on 3.0.1... that too unlocked with existing ultrasn0w.

No new tools will be released for this very minor upgrade. But why are you using pwnage rather than RedSn0w?
Just use RedSn0w.

Musclenerd's twitter says an updated redsn0w for 3.0.1 would be only for vanity reasons. 3.0.1 only patched the SMS exploit. Thats why Apple could release this firmware so fast.

Download the new firmware and the, in iTunes, choose restore.
If you dont wan to jailbrake then just activate in iTunes and you're all done.
