Enabling 3GS Accessibility Features on 3G
Hello guys. I would like to kindly ask the community to try to enable new accessibility features found in 3GS on my 3G russing OS 3.0.
I don't care much about voice related features, but all i want is a new Zoom feature.
You can see the description here Link
Thank you in advance and hope someone will be able to do this favor for me.

camera trick will not work, if iphone think it has new camera (its easy to fool iphone here) - it allows to use zoom, but it fails to open camera at all, so u will see only launching pic of camera app.

I didn't get how zoom feature is related to camera trick? (just in case, i was talking about a new feature that allows you to zoom virtually in every place by tapping with three fingers)
If you were talking about this feature and how it is related to camera trick, how do i trick the camera (i don't care about it much, use it rarely)?

To enable the Accessibility features, you'd need at least the Springboard.app and Preferences.app from the 3GS Firmware along with a modified M68AP.plist (accessibility boolean added).

Any ideas how to make this?

Anyone can tell what key I have to insert into M68AP.plist to enable zoom?

I am very interested if this can be done.

Insert a key named "accessibility" with a boolean value of true. This enables only the display of the accessibility menu (with no settings inside of it), you still need Preferences.app and SpringBoard.app from a 3GS to actually get the features, as stated above.
You could obtain both of these apps from the 3GS restore image, though you do need to decrypt it first.

Apple has completely locked down the firmware bundle with the 3GS software, so it's probably going to be a while before we can even decrypt the firmware, unfortunately.

Fortunately it was decrypted recently =)
But I guess we're out of luck:
Wed Jun 24 21:23:15 unknown Preferences[140] <Error>: Error loading /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/AccessibilitySettings.bundle/AccessibilitySettings: dlopen(/System/Library/PreferenceBundles/AccessibilitySettings.bundle/AccessibilitySettings, 265): no suitable image found. Did find:
/System/Library/PreferenceBundles/AccessibilitySettings.bundle/AccessibilitySettings:
incompatible cpu-subtype: 0x00000009 in /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/AccessibilitySettings.bundle/AccessibilitySettings
So it seems that Accessibility related features are compiled against new iPhone 3GS processor and are not able to be run on older hardware.
