Oke, I succeeded, I don't know how..
After the error, quickpwn running (on pc).
Without doing anything in quickpwn it worked...

my issue specifically is that quickpwn does not want to see my phone.

I tried this on my windows box, and I can get quickpwn to see the phone but I get Firmware String Error now.

Quickpwn only said that I needed tot restart my device.. that was the only thing really.

step 3 says reset device how exactly do we do that after the phone is in dfu mode

I finally got past the first screen with quickpwn, now I get this error message.

The IPSW file you selected (iPhone1,2_2.2.1) does not match the firmware version of your device (iPhone1,2_3.0). Please not that QuickPwn does not upgrade your firmware, it only jailbreaks whatever firmware you currently have on your device.
