Hi

Does it matter what boot loader you have for an unlock?

got a 3.1.2 05.11.07 06.04 3g 16gb

not getting any signal after jailbreak and unlock.

should i try restoring with 3.1.3 firmware instead or have i just got a glorified ipod touch?

unlock with what tool? both blacksn0w and ultrasn0w can unlock this baseband.

The baseband bootloader does not matter with regards to unlock. It only matters with regards to your ability to downgrade baseband (you cannot ever downgrade baseband - your baseband bootloader is way too new).

I tried blacksnow, ultra snow unlocks
with every redsnow, blackrain, spirit jailbreaks

didnt know if trying with different firmware restores might fix the signal

Unlikely.. have you tried with different SIM cards from different carriers?
