Running 3.0. Since upgrade hitting the voicemail button results in a "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service" recorded message. If I dial my own number, it takes me to voice mail fine (although I do have to enter my password). Is there is a way to fix this? I tried resetting my Network Settings but that didn't do the trick. Thanks.

Are you with a legitimate carrier? You possibly had a hacked carrier bundle for 2.x that included your voicemail number link. We need more details to solve this.

No, I am with t-mobile in the US. I am not opposed to going to 3.1 if it solves the issue but I don't know enough about what broke in the 3.0 upgrade.

Also, if it helps my clock does not auto adjust as I travel to other timezones. It's set to automatic and it used to work as well, but broke since the upgrade as well...

Please take a look at this post to create your bundle for t-mobile.
Once you have done that, the voice-mail and timezone should work.
You can create a bundle to be used with multiple carriers.
That's all I can think of ..

I am not sure if I am using the "right" values on the ipcc creation page, but so far the ipccs I have downloaded to the phone don't seem to do anything...

Here are the values I am using leaving everything else blank:
Bundle Name: T-Mobile_US
Carrier Name: T-Mobile US (on the phone the carrier phone shows as Carrier 4.0)
Supported Sim: 31026
First character of carrier logo name: T
Voice mail phone: xxxxxxxxxx
Logo Text: T-Mobile

Ps: if i have another jailbroken 2G iphone whose voicemail button does work for that user, can I grab the bundle from that phone or will that dial that user's voicemail?

I also followed http://modmyi.com/forums/t-mobile/65...er-bundle.html and installed the carrier bundle for (postpaid) t-mobile. No luck there either. I.e. no effect either way.

Not getting any love from anyone, so I started to look around a bit myself. Here is what I found:

1. The t-mobile carrier package in Cydia installs the bundle files in /System/Library/Carrier Bundles directory. The carrier.plist file there looks legit (check via plutil utility).
2. The iTunes ipcc injection method creates the bundle files in ~mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles directory. I was using the generator and it was not producing good bundles, so I used the one available at T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundle.

I have rebooted and reset the network settings, but my voicemail button still does not "dial 123" per the carrier.plist file after either method. I concentrated on step 2, and removed the Cydia package.

I also took notice that in the ~mobile/Library directory there is a Carrier Bundle.bundle link that points to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/Unknown.bundle directory. I removed this link and pointed it to the one in step 2 above. After a reboot the link was changed back to the Unknown.bundle.

I think this is my issue - i have the bundle uploaded to the phone, but for some reason the phone is reverting to the Unknown Bundle.

Any ideas how to get the phone to use the custom/injected bundle?

I followed http://www.hackint0sh.org/f136/7459.htm and now the voicemail button works. used 123 for t-mobile vmail pilot number.
