after installing veency (vnc server) and some other apps from cydia, i got a connection request on veency, from a brazilian ip some hours later, which kept me wondering if there actually are cydia apps containing trojans or the like. well, maybe he just got lucky with a portscan..

When I had veency installed, I would get random requests to allow connections. Obviously I rejected all of them.

Cydia applications, for the most part, are safe. You have to use common sense with the apps though, since you're running a jailbroken device (read: access to the System folders). This is how apps like WinterBoard and SBSettings work.

I was curious about this too b/c I recently installed Veency and every morrning I wake up, I have a connection request.

Any answers to this? Probably uninstall this if it keeps occuring

Every now and then I also get a connection request. Deny them and you'll be ok.
