Default Created 3rd party appstore server

You know how when you open the AppStore on your iPod Touch, it logs on to the AppStore server? well, what if we were to redirect the AppStore Server's IP Address to a 3rd party "AppStore" server? the user-made server will have to run just the same way AppStore runs of course, so I don't know how much this idea is something doable, so you guys be the judges...

    Default

    Possible: Probably
    Plausible: Ehh

The issue with this is how much work would the people with the talent and knowledge on how to make this happen want to work on this with Cydia already as a great "Appstore." As you can tell people like the Dev Team do what is necessary first, then on to convenience things like this. A good idea, to be sure though.
