I am in China. Had the local phone guys install the jailbreak and unlock with Quickpwn and Cydia maybe using yellowsn0w to use the 2.2 OS (I think). I then screwed up and got the 2.2.1 - they gave me a sticker to go with the SIM to fix it. I use China Mobile.

My question... can I use ultrasn0w to go to the 3.0 OS and get rid of the sticker? Or am I stuck with the sticker forever? Please someone, help me know how to get to 3.0 and get rid of the sticker for my SIM card.

Get OS3.0 and pwnage tool and update your phone with the pwned 3.0 firmware.

Add the ultrasn0w source to Cydia and install ultrasn0w. Then you have a working phone running 3.0.

I have a 3G on 3.0 with ultrasn0w with a ChinaMobile SIM runnning myself. The phone was an ATT locked phone.

I downloaded RedSn0w, also got the 3.0 for 3G ipsw from poorlad.com, then ran RedSn0w.

I'm at the recovery mode. I am not sure if I am supposed to "restore and update" within iTunes...

Then I suppose I would install cydia and use ultrasn0w?
