cant jailbreak with redsnow

I am running windows xp service pack. I am running windows xp service pack. I've got iphone 3g os 3.0.1 after DFU mode the message on redsnow reads "waiting for reboot" and then nothing happens on the iphone. I know the screen should go white and the download on the iphone should start and eventually that famous pineapple on legs should show up , but nothing happens. I've jailbroken this phone before on os 2.1.1.
Kindly advice ,I would really appreciate it.

Once the message "waiting for reboot" appears unplug the device from the PC and then plug in again after 2/3 sec.

you can try that when iphone screen show:waiting for reboot.you burry take down the USB line,and quick to put bcak ,

You should try with RedSn0w 7.1.
I had the same problam as you, and then the older version of redsn0w worked just fine.
