Caller ID Fix?
I am using the iphone 2G in an unsupported country. When I receive an SMS message from a contact, the phone number that I receive is in International format, when I receive a phone call it is in local format. I had to put all of the numbers in my iphone with both formats to recognize my contacts, which was an annoying and long process.
I'm wondering if there is a way to get the phone to recognize both forms of a number so that contacts will be recognized by SMS and phone calls automatically without entering duplicate phone numbers.
Here is the number format that I am dealing with:
International format +123 ### ### ###
Local Format (0) ### ### ###
If I could get the iphone to match contacts and phone numbers by matching the last 9 digits of the phone number, it would work perfectly.
I heard that there was an application on Cydia to take care of this problem called "Caller Id Fix" by the source iSpazio. However, I searched everywhere under Cydia and I can't find this application anymore. From reading other forums it looks like iSpazio is an unstable source as many people have had a similar problem with the source being available at one time and then gone at other times.
Is there another mirror to this file that anyone knows of or an alternative method of installation?
Additionally, I've seen that people have manually altered files to correct phone number settings on earlier iphone OS's. Is there a similar hack for OS 3. that someone could point me to?
I am using an Iphone 2G unlocked with Redsn0w. and am running 3.0.1 on the iphone.
Thank you for your help.
