1. Coverflow seems to not be working properly. If I just look at the album list vertically, everything is grouped up properly. In coverflow, an album ends up being split into separate albums. Same albums were ok under the previous software

2. Podcasts - if I listen to a podcast on my iphone or pc and pause it, that position is not transfered over. Nor does Itunes recognize the fact that I have played any podcasts on my iphone

While trying to write some text over Safari (in a web page textarea), if you do press for repoint your cursor, no magnifier is displayed, and your entire keyboard for any applications is completely sluggish after. You need to restart your phone to have it back.

If you do download anything from iPhones iTunes app, you will crash your iPod app until resync with your computer.

Monopoly the game: there are no texts, lol.

1. Same problem. Only seems to happen to me on Compliation CDs -- for example, movie soundtracks with different artists per song, but the same 'Album Artist' of 'Various Artists', etc. Also happens on my Rock Band, Guitar Hero, etc., game soundtracks.

2. Same problem. Power cycling the phone seems to resolve it for a short period of time, but it always comes back. It never seems to properly sync with iTunes as far as determining what I have and haven't played and replacing it.

3. Yes. Full 16gb iPhone takes 35-40 minutes to add one 5mb MP3. Blank iPhone takes about 3-5 minutes to add one 5mb MP3. Ugh. Gonna downgrade just because of that. After copying the data to your iPhone, it shows the 'barber-shop' style progress bar (which doesn't show any progress, just spins) for a ridiculous amount of time, which gets longer and longer the more information is on the iPhone.

4. SMS in Landscape mode sometimes scrolls the typed text off the top of the text bubble, making it so that you cannot see what you're typing. Attempting to hold the button to drag through your text with the magnifiying glass leads to you being unable to scroll between the lines vertically, while still being able to scroll horizontally on the currently selected line. Rotating the phone to portrait mode resolves.

5. As hquest stated, if you download anything from the iTunes app (not the App Store), you will crash the iPod app until you do a full resync with your computer, which then re-iterates number 3 from before.

6. Battery life is abysmal. I have 53 minutes of usage and 6 hours and 52 minutes of standby and my phone is in the lower end of the red battery. I used to be able to easily get 14-16 hours of standby with an hour or two of usage per day without a charge.

7. Phone did not ring until I had gone to the Sounds menu once (which hung the phone for 20-30 seconds). It would show the caller and the caller's contact would show the desired ringtone, but the phone would remain silent and would not vibrate.

8. Immediately after the 3.0 Upgrade, my iTunes would fail syncing, complaining that it was unable to sync the calendar. I told it to stop syncing the calendar, then sync'd the phone. Told it to sync the calendar again, sync'd the phone. Problem resolved.

9. Youtube. Just tells me it can't connect to the server.

1. SMS randomly crashes, sometimes if I switch to landscape after selecting to show the number keys, and I start hitting number keys, it'll type in letters instead.

2. Call history often crashes 4-6 times in a row before I'm able to view the history

Did you restore from backup after you installed 3.0? I had both those problems when I did that. In ref to 6. the iphone felt quite warm all the time, and the battery was actually draining after just a few hours in standby. I then put 3.0 on again but didn't restore from backup and youtube works and the battery life is much better.

I also noticed some odd stuff with 3.0 but not with the software itself lol I had to downgrade to 2.2.1 tho im stuck with the 3.0 baseband. Sometimes my iPhone just drops any mobile network. The 3g and edge icons dissapear and my iphone acts like i was abroad with data roaming disabled.

Another thing I noticed before reverting back to 2.2.1...

in sms - switching to widescreen doesn't always stretch out the keyboard to landscape. keeps to half the screen. could have been an issue with mms though

Too many small but annoying bugs - so I went back to 2.2.1....

Crashes, landscape won´t allways work, won´t pair to my Parrot bluetooth in the car...

I have some issues, none of which are so horrible that I will switch back.

1. ipod crashes after download of any song. Typically fixed with a short sync.

2. MMS images received display incorrectly when in full size. (fine while previewed is message app)

3. Voicemails that are undeleted don't show up again. ever.

4. Delayed text messages. Messages received all at once over 4 hour period.

5. Phone app either crashes, or loads with black screen. (can be fixed by hitting home and re-entering phone app.

6. Slow response when selecting and dialing numbers.

7. Sound stops working when using Electronic notification. (switched to tri-tone and works perfectly.)

8. Slow response time when taking or selecting pictures to email or mms.

9. Random contacts deleted not synchronized with phone from exchange server.

10. Bad battery life. Period.
