The sim works in an identical iPhone, unlocked by Bootneuter.

You can't combine bootneuter and the official unlock. Are you saying that bootneuter hangs at "determining current settings" ?

The one run manually from Cydia did. If run via Pwnage Tool or redsn0w it would just say it had been already unlocked and would continue on.

Carrier unlock was applied on a clean 3.1.3 restore. It is always activated now, after each restore.

Ok I got an iphone 2g for my kid.
used Redsn0w to jailbreak
the device was hanging at the bootneuter 2.1 page but I could see that the buttons were green (on the screen)
so I tried to redo Redsn0w and my problems started.
now I am stuck at ""pleases wait: determining current settings" and error 23 when attempting to restore"

when I try to restore via itune I get the unfamous error 23 (same with shift+restore)

When i reboot the device it only comes up with the usb and itune icons.

when I plug it sometimes it displays:
name :iphone
capacity: n/a
software version: 3.0.1
serial number: Correct
phone number: correct

and sometimes
name :iphone
capacity: n/a
software version: n/a
serial number: n/a
phone number: n/a

but everytime it says: an iphone in recovery mode was found... blah blah

CAN anyone help???? Please????

ziphone doesn't see the device

I restored my 2G to 3.1.3 and now Im getting this error. Is there still NO solution to this error? Is there anything I could try to get past it? Or should I consider my 2G as bricked

HAVE ANYONE GOTTEN OUT OF THE BOOTNEUTER FREEZE LOOP?
