I think you gonna need to get a 3G if you want to dev for some of the new features now. Bit of a bummer

Join the iPhone Developer Program
The iPhone Developer Program provides a complete process for developing and distributing applications for iPhone and iPod touch. When you join the iPhone Developer Program, you also receive access to the new iPhone SDK and iPhone OS 3.0 beta - so you can prepare your applications for the next generation of iPhone OS.
Standard Program $99
Enterprise Program $299
Why ain't I surprised to find out there was no *free* program for 3.0 beta?
@romfeo: yes, it will bring phones back to locked state. Bright side is, unlocking is well known at this time, so should not stay locked for too long time.

Hopefully the beta gets thrown up for everyone's download soon, and jailbreak/unlock of the Beta is done

So, does that mean that someone with an official iP3G enrolled on the Developer Program (albeit at $99!!!!!!) can use the 3.0 software (as long as they don't mind having a vanilla iP3G with no JB etc)? or does it do something kooky to your phone, like disable the antenna or something?
Thanks!

Personally I'm holding off on trying the Beta at least until someone figures out how to downgrade them.
