After i did a upgrade to 3.0 beta2 from 2.2.1, i have a 45% + battery icon i the upper right corner. Is the percent from my old sbsettings maybe ? Can i do a restore to 3.0 now, to remove it ?

You can do a restore to 3.0 to remove it and bring it back to the default icon.

Will this remove my sms and app settings

Yup as it will restore your phone to factory settings. You can try to back it up first in itunes and then restore it from backup after successfully restoring it to 3.0

I still see the 63% + battery icon :-(

Try not to restore it from back and set it up as a new iphone. I'm sure that'll work. The previous settings which included the battery % was also restored that's why it's still there

I'd like to ask how you enabled the battery percentage in 3.0B2. Did you edit the general.plist file? Is your 3.0B2 iphone jailbroken too?
