Activating 2G

Hi

Can someone tell whether or not its possible to activate a unactivated iphone with a sim from an activated iphone? If so will the new phone be registered with the sim? Will there be any negative effect on the activated phone's account?

both are iphone 2G.
both with OS 3.0.
both with modem firmware 04.05.04_G

1 ) Yes
2 ) No
3 ) No

after you unlock and activate the phone you should be able to make calls from both phones...with the same SIM...or if you like pick up a SIM from wallmart and then pick up a Pay as you go credits and make calls from each phone.

Thanks for the reply. I only want to activate with the legitimate sim in order to get push services to work (I've already tried the dev teams solution but it did not work for me and it appears to be giving problems for others). If I do that, will I have the problem of receiving notifications on my iphone which were intended for the other and vice versa?
