My friend has an iPhone 2g on 3.0 and I'm trying to activate the MMS how I did on mine... For some reason ActivateMMS2g is missing in Cydia and I can't find another solution to get MMS working anywhere. Just hoping someone could point me in the right direction of where to find ActivateMMS2g.

you dont need to download any packages or anything, just put in the settings, let me know if you dont have them, ill put them up.

2G phones do not have MMS suport out of the box, you always need to patch this on for 2G phones. 3G and 3GS simply need the correct config

i have followed fabian link and intalled tethering addon for my 3gs. after the install it said it need to be reboot. and now i can't boot kick start my 3gs abd blackra1n anymore, when i connect my iphone to the PC i don't get the pop up saying i have connect my iphone anymore. and i opened blackra1n again and i click on make it rain. my iphone changed to the loading picture from blackra1n, but then it only load for 2 sec and blackra1n said done and my phone turned off. but still it at the screen said plug in to itunes

any idea how can i get this fix ? thx much

These kinds of patches are designed to be installed on an unmodified iPhone. Just using blackra1n to jailbreak gives you the tethering patch. You have MMS without a patch. Patching an already patched commcenter is a recipe for a restore.

Do you normally have a tethered jailbreak? If not.. Restore with a custom ipsw created with pwnagetool.

If you have a tethered jailbreak, you need your SHSH saved for 3.1.2 or lower.

EDIT : after research , yes i do need to use blackra1n to rejailbreak the phone everytime i restart the phone

you are really stuck now.
without a 3.1.2 shsh, you cannot perform a restore.
I have no idea how to get you out of that loop.
This problem is popping up a lot now for tethered-jailbreak phone and I'm suspecting a file system corruption of some sort.
