I am thinking about flash 2G iphone with 3G firmware, is someone try that before ? I don't wont to crash my phone so i would like to talk about that. I read on the http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f201/75396.htm that someone tried to do that with older version so it is possible. Maybe it "unblock" bluetooth stereo and sharing internet connection ?

Does someone think about that too ?

Why not ? All new improvement what apple give are only software solution. Bluetooth stereo A2DP, tethering... etc. So where is a problem for that ?

you read something about someone TRYING that, it didnt actually work (3gs on 3g) And there are some settings i read about configuring to get the camera to try and act like a video camera on the 3g (or anything other than the 2gs) and with some configuration the toggle came up to treat camera like a video cam but the functionality itself didnt work. Either way i dont see it working, tethering would be unbearably slow on the 2g the only thing i even see worth trying to get working on the 2g is MMS and i still have my doubts that will work either.

It will not work because the hardware is different.

If you try, one of these 2 things could happen:
1. iTunes error - Failed.
2. Bricked iPhone that will not work

sorry dont lose your time trying it, firmware comunicates different w/ the base band on 2g and 3g, also better try to port from 3G to 2G that can be more useful and it may work.

3G -> 2G Wont work

if you can rebuild the 3g version of the firmware with the checksums and sigs the 2g version has then you might be able to trick itunes into doing it but u still end up with a bricked phone that might not restore correctly
