Hello all,

I own a 1st generation iPhone (still on 1.1.4). I purchased this phone over a year ago and jailbroke and unlocked it with ZiPhone, which was a simple one step process.

In preparing for the Dev-team releasing the jailbreak and unlock tools for 3.0 on Windows, I have been reading around to see if there are any necessary preparations that I should be doing to help ease the process.

Is there anything I should do in preparation for my 3.0 upgrade? I am stuck on the old version 1.1.4 and never bothered to update to 2.0. Will that pose a problem? Should I be upgrading to 2.0 in the meantime and unlocking and jailbreaking that?

if you have a Mac, you can use pwnagetool 3.0 to bring your phone to 3.0.

If you don't have a Mac, WAIT for quickpwn 3.0 to be released then bring your phone to 3.0. Iclarified.com should have a tutorial when quickpwn 3.0 is out.
