Sorry for repeating and creating a similar thread, but I could find a right answer for me...
Problem is im trying to connect my iphone to pc which has ubuntu.
I know i need to install some packages but I can’t find right ones...
So when I connect my iphone now it just starts vibrate and flash...
Is anyone can tell me which packages I need to install I got ubuntu 9.4

Do you have an updated version of Ubuntu 9.04? If not open a terminal and do an upgrade as in: [I]sudo apt-get update[I] and [I]sudo apt-get upgrade[I]
Why do you want to connect your iPhone to your lap-top. The only thing the lap-top recognizes is the camera in the iPhone.
Jailbreak your iPhone and you can use bluetooth and or WiFi for the modem function and with open SSH on the phone a lot of other things
so it not possible connect it and see like ipod, like external hhd?? some time i just want to put some file ...
As I said before: when you jailbreak the phone you can use apps (for instance File Sharing) and do more things with the iPhone and the lap-top
my iphone is jailbreakes, i gonna look for some apps thanks
