This guy is legit! I paid the 4 dollars, downloaded the firmware, went to best buy, and loaded the firmware on using one of the macs. If you're looking for a cheap way to get your UDID registered, give this guy a look.
P.S. You have to use Restore. If you try to use the update button, it crashes iTunes.

Also make sure you are using a Mac to do the update as Windows will always give an error when trying to update.
