I received a prompt email immediately following payment informing me that my udid was registered, however once I loaded ios5 onto my device, iTunes informed me that my device was not registered with the Apple Developer Connection. Any thoughts?

Just check ebay for cheep registrations. Enter "UDID" in the search field and you will see plenty of cheep ones
