Question XCode Templates for Pwned iPhone && 2.2 Firmware..

    Hi there,
I recently upgraded my first gen iPod Touch firmware to 2.2. After successfully pwning it, I was trying to use the instructions that javacom wrote on this thread

    http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38389

to test the basic View-Based Application template on my real device.
Everything works nice the with the first Build&Go, the app gets compiled and installed, but when I try to recompile the project (even after inserting just a newline at the end of some file) and re-install the app on the device, all I'm getting is a:

"Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error (0xE8000001)
Try disconnecting and powering off the device; then power the device on and reconnect it."

Where is the problem? Is it related to the 2.2 FW?

    Thanks for your precious help!

Even you have official codesign certificate and official provisioning profile, this error message still appears occasionally.

You have to reboot your iPhone and close your Xcode and then restart your Xcode again and build & go to retry your project

Touch Dial is an easy-to-use application for one touch dial / sms icon on the home screen for iPhone.

This app can read the accelerometer and do phone dial or SMS dial for the same number based on the your setting for Portrait or Landscape Mode of iPhone.

Thanks for the fast reply javacom, however this is a problem that occurs every single time I try to build&go the project, not just occasionally. I tried your procedure several times, but unfortunately it doesn't solve anything.

I randomly also get this error: "Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error (0xE800002E) ReceiveMessage"..

Please note that every new pwned project template I create gets built and installed properly the first time.. but from that time on every new Build&Go fails, so it must be something related to the re-deployment action I suppose.

Any clues? This is so frustrating..

Which version of Xcode did you use? The latest build 9m2621 for iPhone SDK 2.2 is more stable. May be reinstall Xcode will help.

The Simulator gives me Version 2.2(5G77) so I think I already have the latest SDK... I could try to reinstall XCode in any case.. but I doubt it could be the cause as I installed it yesterday from scratch.

How did you patch your MobileInstallation binary. Did you use my MobileInstallation package for 2.2 ?

Uh. No. I used the hackulous.us one. I'll give it a try ASAP. In the meantime, thanks for your patience

Ok. After a total FW 2.2 re-install and re-pwning it now works as it should. It was all a Hackulous MobileInstallation patch fault.

    Thanks for your precious support!
