Xcode 3.1 + Toolchain 2.0 + iPod touch 2.2.1 Jailbroken
I want to write programs for my jailbroken iPod touch with the firmware 2.2.1. I do already have a good knowledge about C++. However, I never developed for a mobile device.
I have installed the iphone SDK 2.0. Unfortunately I realized later that I would have to pay 99$ to be allowed to publish my work. (I'm really wondering why they say it's for free !?).
So I found the Toolchain 2.0 for the Ipod touch. I looked through the whole internet for days to find any tutorial which would explain everything easy understandly.
Finally I came to this site. Here is a tutorial which explains who you can compile your application some how. (English is still hard to understand expecially these technical terms).
So is there a way to write Programs normal with the Xcode IDE and bring them to the iphone without paying apple some money?
Maybe somebody can post a good tutorial or link me to one.
Siemens for ever...
I found my solution: Test XCode apps on iPod touch without $99 - iPod touch Fans forum
You just have to make a certificate. It is explained there ^^
Now you can even upload your app to your ipod or iphone directly in xcode!
hope this will help someone.
