[Testing] Can i run sdk apps on an ipod touch?

Would this be possible as you can do with iphone using an ipod touch with 2.0 firmware?

I test all my apps on my iPod touch so I can continue to use my iphone reliably on 1.1.4.

I have beta8 2.0 on touch so far, but no idea about release 2.0

Ive since gone with release 2.0 on my iPhone. I use that to test now too.
Is it worth bothering to update my touch to the release 2.0? much difference?
I cant say I saw any difference between the 2 devices myself.
