Default Some help with coding in Interface Builder

    Hi all,

I am an Advanced Developer for Windows but am new to the Mac platform and XCode. Just got the newer Beta of the SDK with Interface Builder.

My trouble is.. How do I add code to buttons.. Like for eg. when I add the exit button on the screen, how do I add the exit code to it ?
I use Visual Basic .NET and am famalier with the double-click to add code thing.

And secondly, How I add pop-ups to the screen (like OnLoad, donate pop-up) using Interface Builder.

    Help would be great !

Just figured out how to use the nib file interface with xCode. But the iPhone navigation bar and the Item bar are not fully visible in the Aspen simulator. The Window size is default (Actual Fit) or something.

Is the problem with the emulator and will it display correctly on the iPhone ? Or there is something wrong ?

Secondly, I need commange (sample) gor things like GetStorage-MemoryUsed()
etc. one or two info gathering statements are enough, I will figure the rest.

    Simple answer:

    Interface Builder fails.

Once the final release of the SDK comes out, then maybe Interface Builder will be a lot better, but for now, I code everything. Easy...but long =(.

At the least they managed to fix the ordering of tab bar items in Interface Builder.

But there's still a lot of bugs, like the Interface Builder simulator. If you coded it by hand, it's perfect. Also, the simulator is pretty much an exact simulator, so if it's not showing well in the simulator, then it's not gonna show well on the device. It's better to code it all for now.

If you really want to try & use the interface builder.

Install sdk beta (>=3) and read this document from Apple. There is a step by step walkthrough to use the Interface Builder.

You need to login the iPhone developer website of apple to get this document

    Thanks the the help.

Just one thing.. Can you list a few sample commands to get the data. Like get.Carrier_Name()
    and get.FreeStoreageSpace()

A few would do. I will figure out the rest. Or a link to a list would be great !

    Thanks!
