The iPhone SDK does not install the appropriate files needed to do development on a PPC machine. You need to manually extract the files from the "iPhone2.0" packages into the appropriate Xcode platform directories.

Additionally you need to modify the Simulators 'xcspec' file (for Beta2) to add 'PPC' as a valid target platform.

    Good luck.

I got it to work fine on my Powerbook G4.

The way is exactly like antith3tic but there is an easier approach to it.

There is an application called Pacifist. You can easily get a trial version online, which should be enough for the SDK.

Using the Pacifist you can force all packages of the iPhone SDK to be installed on your ppc Mac. Some people reported that they get an error sometimes when coding but they say its a useless error and it only tells you that this is not the right version.

    Hope I helped.
