What should I do? Thanks!
-bash: ./iphone_binary_patch: Bad CPU type in executableQuote:
chmod +x ./iphone_binary_patch
Using ibook G4. Is there a different version for the PPC?
download it and rename it to MobileInstallation
then copy to your iPhone
Ok, just copied it over without signing as it's already signed - right?
So think I got everything done right now but have an compile error when compiling the hello world test app...
Command /bin/sh failed with exit code 1
/User/trapper/Desktop/HelloWorld/build/Release-iphoneos/HelloWorld.app/: object file format invalid or unsuitable
yeah I think it must be the PPC env again, it's the gen_entitlements.py i think.
I hope I am not posting in a wrong thread. Sorry for any inconvenience in advance.
Basically, I would like to ask for an OpenGL template to be compiled with toolchain for firmware 2.0.
Now details :) :
I have been trying to port my previous applications for 2 weeks and the best result I had been able to get is a blank screen (yuppie :P)
I was using Andrew Willmott's UIGLView sample as the base code and was adding my opengl code without changing much in this sample code. Thus, a guide for porting this application to 2.0 would be enough and great.
I changed the makefile as stated by the guide within Cydia and I replaced LayerKit with QuartzCore framework. In the code, I tried to replace the references to LayerKit, by basically changing the included headers, replacing "LKLayer"s with "CALayer"s and changing the line
[_layer addSublayer: screenLayer];
[[self _layer] addSublayer: screenLayer];
(I am not sure if this usage is valid and correctly replaces the previous usage but it removed the compilation error at least)
Actually, I am conditioned that the problem is raised from the use of LKLayer and my inability to embed QuartzCore instead of LayerKit. I might even be missing a very basic detail.
Another problem I realized is the size of this tried-to-be-ported application is around 900 KB which is a lot bigger than the size of the one I used to build in 1.1.4 firmware. Is this OK or am I doing something wrong in the building process?
Thanks in advance and again, sorry if I cause any inconvenience
the great tool of class-dump-x is updated to support class-dump of more iPhone frameworks
Thumbs up javacom!
Keep it going, very nice initiative and the way you illustrate is quite detailed and helpful.
Looking forward for a template that make use of adhoc (client/server type?) stuffs. :)
