Xcode 4.x provision profiles, developing using Xcode 4

Has anyone successfully developed an iPhone app using an old Xcode fake code signing a la Developing for a Jailbroken iPhone A to Z (iOS 4.0.1) « alexwhittemore.com

I went through the tutorial the other day, and everything seems to still apply using Xcode 4.1 (I'm using OS X (10.7 DP 2), but the Organizer has changed quite a bit in Xcode 4.x series. FYI Xcode 4.1 is the DP 2 release of Xcode to work with 10.7 DP 2. The current brick wall is that there isn't a "Use for development" button in the Organizer anymore.

A quick restore allows the device to become active in Xcode 4.x This is has been discussed in the comments to the link above. I now have a greeen light next to my iPod Touch in the Organizer in Xcode.
