Where are all the OSX App Dev's?

Hi guys,

I'm not too sure if this is the right place for this post - but in any case, maybe someone can either move it, or help!

I live in New Zealand, and am currently starting a small business using iMacs to burn DVD's for the tourist industry (all legit and up front). We've been hoping to find someone to help us develop our own application (just so our business looks more professional - absolutely nothing sinister).

But I'm having more luck finding a needle in a haystack to be honest. Most of the people I've spoken to have either stopped emailing after the first payment has been made (yes we're happy to pay), or they show an interest at first, and then stop responding to emails after two or three weeks (we're very nice guys - honest!).

To date, we've spoken to four OSX developers (or so they say), paid out twice, and still have nothing to show for it.

Is what I'm asking too tricky for most, or is it that developers don't want the risk of this kind of application ???

I'm baffled to be honest . . . . !

Where are we going wrong?
