need help with coding the simplest program!

I'm using a windows machine, I remember if we wanted to make a URL shortbut "application" on the spring board all we had to use was Embark.

Anyways, I'm working on something similar for 2.0, its for personal use, nothing complicated, basically I just need the application to launch Safari + an URL I've preprogrammed.

If anybody could help that would be great, I've been searching and searching, Embark doesn't work for 2.0, there was a version made for the 2.0 beta firmware but it doesn't work with 2.0.

why not just click the + button in safari while you are on the page you want. THen click "add to homescreen"

thanks for the garbage ass response, but really, I do need to know, its for something I'm making, I dont want to goto safari, I WANT THE ICON ON MY HOMESCREEN.

Simply put, if you don't know the answer (quite obvious here, you just trying to get higher post counts) don't speak.

ok But I'm trying to distrubute a WEB APP (aka website) as a program through cydia.
Its a new feed type thing, so I needs to be a downloadable application.
I apologize for being an a$$.

So could you please help me? I don't even need a hand hold, if somebody could just point me in the right direction with codes and meanings or anything that would be great, I'm on a windows machine so no go on the SDK for now.

a little off topic but, to create an app for the ipod a mac is required? or is there a way for windows to do so too?

off topic, you can install the toolchain on your phone through cydia, and compile apps directly on your iPhone using SSH.

does it work for the iphone and ipod touch? or just the iphone?
