I ask you this question because I was having problems installing 1.1.4 hack :( , well, actually I didnt try it too much.
On the other hand, I found that website a week ago (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~ajw/public/iphone-gl/) but I couldnt compile anything using winchain :mad: (I have to try tool chain in linux and/or macosx)

Just see the new released beta4 introduce OpenGL ES support to Simulator. So that with this release, you need not the firmware any longer.
If winchain means the iphone-dev team toolchain in cygwin, it should work. If you get error about cannot find "NSObject.h" or similar, edit the header files generated by class-dump to change it as "Foundation/NSObject.h".

Excuse me, but what do you exactly mean?
If you are using sdk before b4, you have to select build for device in xcode. By default, it is "simulator debug", change to "device debug" or "device release".

hahha no kidding I hate the square brackets! i'm developing my app "SonicBoom" in Windows using Visual C++ with www.DragonFireSDK.com and it's going great. DragonFireSDK uses a C++ layer to call Obj-C functions, it has nice documentation and the API is easy to learn.
why would you learn Objective C when you can program for the iPhone in Windows with C++??
