[iPhone] How to communicate over the dock connector?

Hey guys,

i wanted to write an app so that i can use the nike + sport kit with my iphone.
FIrst of all i need to know how to write an app which displays all data the iphone receives over the dock connector.

Could someone please help me with such an app?

The 3rd party devices use IAP (Apple proprietary protocol) to communicate and getting validated as compatible accessories.
