Is there anyone that can provide me direction on using the MapKit? I've been able to create a small test app that loads up the MKMapView. As default it only has panning enabled and is zoomed out. I used a slightly modified class-dump and SDK to build.

Looking for direction on how to enable the multitouch zooming and other functionality. I'm especially interested in creating custom overlays for the map. Google searching has turned up nothing. I'm hoping someone out there has figured it out. Right now i'm starting with subclassing MKMapView to see when the different functions are called etc, but there are a lot.

Really? No one? Well, as I figure things out I'll keep some notes and post back here with what I find.

I'm sorry I can't help you much with your question. But I would like to say, thats an awesome idea. Custom overlays integrated into Maps would be truly wicked. Stick to the idea.
