    Default Leak analysis

Is there any way to do leak analysis using the SDK on 1.1.4 apps?

I'm porting an app from the open toolchain to the SDK environment, just so that I can run the leak analysis tools. However, I'm having some problems:

    1) The latest sticky approach (use the SDK to build 1.1.4 apps) doesn't work with Leak Analysis, since I believe Instruments is designed to work with the 2.0 architecture. So getting it to work would require a super-human time investment (ie not worth it).

    2) The other approach (NerveGas' technique with templates) which looks more promising. However, it doesn't compile to the Simulator, only to the device.

Is there another suggested approach to get to use the leak analysis tools? Or should I just be a good programmer and figure this out manually? I'm very new to Objective C, so am new to its GC model -- which is why I'd prefer to get help from the leak analysis tools.

'it's GC model' Well, no garbage collection on the phone, so maybe not they way to say that.

These tools are the only I have heard of so far for the toolchain.
